WIP Update 4-2: So close I can taste it

So, I am so close to finishing Mo Thuras I can taste it.  I want to say the Outline/draft is finished, but that would be “cheating” even for me. *grins* So in the meantime I read a fun idea over on Legends of Windemere, and thought I would enjoy something similar.  So, here is another sneak peak inside the workings of Mo Thuras.  Enjoy.

To have a sneak peak into some more of my inspiration for my story, here is the current pinterest board I am using! That gets updated as I find different ideas fitting for my story.

What about you? What do you use as you write to “see” your characters/places/things? Do you utilize Pinterest in your writing? Do you print and create a “storyboard”? What motivates your characters most?

  1. I really like the art you have for your characters. Especially the first one. It’s funny how we all get into the heads of our characters isn’t it? I don’t use Pinterest as I have no idea what it is… and to be honest, I just keep them in my head at the moment and visualise them as I write and try to work out what they would do/say in a certain situation. As time goes on though and my series builds, I think I will probably need to find another method soon. 🙂

    1. those images came from pinterest. It is a virtual bulletin board system, where you can save images/web pages ect… and you create the boards you want… So I have some for recipes some for clothes, some for house ideas, and of course those for my WIPs. It is a marvelous thing!!! If you go to the part where I have the rest of my inspiration images, that is pinterest and you can see what it is like.

      1. Thanks – I’ll check it out! I’ve heard it mentioned a lot but never really got round to looking into it. 🙂

      2. It can be wonderfully handy for many things, I like to use it as a bookmark for websites, finding them quickly by image, instead of searching through tons with just words.

    1. if you click the images they should take you to where I found them. Otherwise, go to the Pinterest board it will send you where ever I found them (or it should… it always use to, they are making some changes, lol) Melody’s image was from some desktop wallpaper website

      1. thanks *smiles* that board sadly prolly has as many hours as my writing does **grins** I am all about finding what I am after… next I will be trying to find a “ship” that will help me envision the Mo Thuras… I actually intend to draw it for the cover

      2. Very cool. A writer that can do her own cover art can work a lot more efficiently than one that can’t. It’s the waiting that kills me at times.

      3. I actually was married to a professional photographer, and she was doing graphic design… So, I know people, and they are teaching me *grins* I like to be self sufficient! and anything I can’t do, I have friends who tend to help me out… or minions, mwahahaha

  2. Iiiinteresting ideaaa…. (I finally got that link to work this morning, too!)

  3. Love the art and your character list and your pictures on Pinterest. As for me I Must. Keep. Resisting. Pinterest. This resistance has been so difficult. But I know I’d get addicted so easily. I do need to create a character list with pictures though. That will help with my current WiP. He’s a tough nut to crack so far.

    1. It helps me tremendously!! The thing with Pinterest, sure it is easy to “get addicted” but… your eyes can only take so much of it. I have Tons of boards, and pins, but… I grab them here and there. The other thing I do, is have a Pin It tool on my bookmark bar, and so I don’t even need to go to Pinterest to find things to pin, only to look at the boards I have created.
